Depression can sneak up on you gradually and before you know it, you’re in a deep hole that you cannot claw your way out of.
Depression can be a debilitating condition. It can affect everything in your life: work, relationships, family, and social life. It can manifest in people of any age and at any time.
The following are some of the many symptoms of depression:
- Low self esteem
- Lack of interest
- Lack of sleep
- General low mood
Some of us get so used to feeling like this that it seems normal and leads to thoughts such as, “that’s just the way life is.”
Thankfully many successful and famous people are now talking about depression; people who seem to have everything going for them and yet still battle with this problem.
Many people who suffer from depression may only do so once, however for some it will happen again and again. The length of time that it takes to recover can range from around six months to a year or more.
Living with depression is difficult both for those who suffer from it and for those around them; their family, friends, and colleagues. It can be difficult to know if you are depressed and what you can do about it.
During the course of your depression treatment, your therapist and life coach will help you to sort through all of your problems to take you to the place where you should be. That place is called “Happiness”. Everyone deserves to be in that place.
